A repair shop built around family.
I started fixing phones around the time the iPhone 4 was released. What began as an interest in understanding and repairing devices gradually became years of hands-on experience helping people keep their phones working.
In 2025, our daughter was born. Starting Fonestop gave me more flexibility to stay close to my family while continuing the work I know and enjoy. That is a big part of why Fonestop is intentionally local and personal.
We try to treat every repair the way we would want our own device treated: explain the options clearly, be upfront when a repair may not be worthwhile, and stand behind the work when something needs attention.
Our goal is for Fonestop to become Ballarat’s go-to place whenever technology becomes frustrating — not only for phone repairs, but for tablets, laptops, data and everyday tech problems too. We also want customers to be able to drop in when they are looking for useful new technology and accessories, get a clear explanation, and leave with something that genuinely suits how they use their devices.
