A local family business, built with care.

Fonestop was founded by Jason, who has been working with and repairing phones since around the time the iPhone 4 was released. After moving to Ballarat and starting a family here, he wanted to build something local — a business that could grow with the community and become a place people could genuinely rely on when technology becomes frustrating.

Before Fonestop, Jason spent around a decade as General Manager of a fashion accessories manufacturing company. That experience shaped another side of the business: an eye for detail, product quality and finding things that are a little different.

That’s why Fonestop isn’t intended to be just another phone shop filled with the usual cases and phone holders. Alongside repairs, we want to bring together useful lifestyle gadgets, interesting accessories and new technology that we think our customers will genuinely enjoy using.

We’re selective about what makes it onto our shelves. Products are considered for their design, practicality and quality, and whenever possible we test and evaluate them ourselves. If something doesn’t meet the standard we expect, we simply won’t sell it.

The same thinking applies to our repairs. We believe in taking care with the details, explaining the options clearly, being upfront when a repair may not be worthwhile, and standing behind the work we do.

As a local family business, the relationships we build with our customers matter to us. And as Fonestop grows and our team grows with it, those values remain the same — careful work, honest advice, good products and service we are happy to put the Fonestop name behind.

Our goal is for Fonestop to become Ballarat’s go-to place for everyday technology — from repairs and advice to accessories and gadgets you might not expect to find in a traditional phone shop.
